Have You Seen This?!

I was stunned when I came across the latest ads for French coffee company
Arabica Carte Noire.

Saturated with rich colors, beautifully highlighting impressive culinary techniques and encouraging any cook to slow down and appreciate the beauty in boiling water, these videos are absolutely captivating!

So if you love to cook as much as I do, you can truly count yourself as an artist, the proof is in the pudding, I say!

Oh and treat yourself to a little something sweet, we've almost made it through the week!

April Showers...

...Bring my favorite season of all...flower season!

And if you're anything like me, you can't help but literally stop to smell the roses.  While the Texas heat usually makes our spring season swift, the abundance of natural beauty during this time of year always makes me yearn for lengthier seasons to enjoy the grandeur of spring renewal.

The Art Of Egg Painting

Happy Easter!
I hope you all had a wonderful and celebratory day with family and friends, filled with marshmallow chicks, sweet treats, and eggs galore!

In honor of the festivities, I thought I'd share a remarkable video of the amazing egg painting traditions in rural Romania.

In Celebration of Love

Hello Dear Friends!

I know its been some time since you've heard from me, but with the holiday season came shorter and busier days, more baked goods than my mixer or oven could count, memorable moments shared with good friends and family, and the enjoyment of much-needed reprieve from the monotony of daily life.

That being said, with the new year comes renewed zeal to share and begin from scratch, here at HMH!
And what a wonderful time of year to get back into the swing of things...
Valentine's Day is upon us!

Succulent Love

On the heels of my trip to West Texas and the appreciation of natural desert beauty, I find myself yearning for a little piece of natural desert of my own, more specifically, the succulent variety.

Succulents seem to be available in all shapes and sizes, and these wonderfully hardy little plants simply exude earthiness, while ranging from cute to quirky.

West Texas Ramblings

Hello friends, I know its been a while, but September has been a very busy month for me and I've been enjoying lots of travel, from Alpine to Anchorage.
The more to share with you, I say!
So, with that said, lets start from the beginning, shall we?

I was so thrilled to enjoy the Labor Day weekend in my hometown of Alpine, TX.  I was also fortunate enough to relish the delightfully quirky finds in Marfa, the weirdest little town in Texas.

I'm Baaack!

While Dallas often conjures images of excess and old Texas money, the Big D truly is a wonderful representation of all the Lone Star State has to offer and the menagerie of experiences available there.

Having just enjoyed the pleasure of a week in Dallas, I have so much to share with you.  Dallas is nothing short of a veritable feast of vintage shopping, amazing eats, and inspiring attractions.  Anytime I have the pleasure to visit, I'm always forced to meticulously choose what my time in town will allow for.  Needless to say, I always try to fit in as many activities as possible, but inevitably feel I've missed out on the latest, greatest secret the city has to offer. Let's delve into some of the things I enjoyed, shall we?
